  3. Revocation: In some cases, digital certificates may need to be revoked before they expire. This may be necessary if the private key associated with the certificate is compromised, or if the certificate is no longer needed.
  4. Monitoring: Certificate management also involves monitoring the status of certificates to ensure that they are valid and up-to-date. This may involve using tools to monitor the expiration dates of certificates and alerting administrators when a certificate is due for renewal.
